Sex-positive, inclusive, validating. You're safe with me.

Why Work With Me?

I've recently completed a Diploma in Sex and Relationship Therapy at the prestigious Contemporary Institute Of Clinical Sexology, Letchworth.

All students need to complete a number of hours working as a trainee therapist to qualify, and by now I have already worked with a significant number of clients and presentations. I am overseen by a highly experienced clinical supervisor. â€‹

I've lived a life before this, so I have a lot of life experience, including as someone who is non-monogamous with all associated joys and pains. I'm a loud LGBTQIA+ ally; and have a huge interest in shame which I've found is often at the very root of the presenting issue.

See "Services" below for more details of which problems and presentations I can help you with and feel free to contact me with any questions at all, "Contact" info below.

Services

SERVICES

I am trained to deal with a significant number of issues related to sex and intimacy. If you don't see what you need below, please ask.

FOR COUPLES

Couples Counselling: Affairs, Mismatched Desire, General Relationship Issues

I offer Gottman-informed mediation when dialogue or intimacy may have broken down - to help you find your way back to each other emotionally and/or physically. Or I can  faciliate some tougher conversations.

Polyamory, Ethical Non-Monogamy, Open Relationships, Swinging

Whether you're considering opening your relationship or already have, or are living as poly or ENM, we can work through what is or isn't working, pitfalls to watch out for, and, above all, mutual agreement, boundaries, and consent.

FOR INDIVIDUALS

Pain on Penetration, Vaginismus, Vulvodynia, Lichen Sclerosus, GPPD

Whether you do or don't have a diagnosis yet, I can support you emotionally through the process, help with figuring out what's going on and suggest interventions which may help.

Low Or Mismatched Desire and Orgasm Issues

Together we can work on what makes you tick, help discover or rediscover your suppressed or lost sexuality, or validate your low libido or asexuality. There is no pressure here to be anything you're not.

Identity Around Sexuality, Gender, or Kinks

If you're trying to work out who you are, who you like, or what you like doing, and are feeling confusion, shame or fear, we can explore it together safely and without judgement.

Menopause and Sexuality

With such huge hormal changes and physical symptoms, we can feel as if we don't recognise our body or sexuality. I'm here to explore your new hormonal landscape and talk through your options.

Erectile Disorder, Premature Ejaculation, Delayed Ejaculation

Whether your issue is physical, psychological, a mix of both, or you don't know yet, I'll help you work out what's going on: calmly, caringly and practically. You're safe with me.

Compulsive Sexual Behaviour, Problematic Porn Useage and Hypersexuality

If you think you have a problem here, we can work out if so and why, and towards a place of less distress and shame, and help you curb any problematic behaviour or practises, if necessary.

Rediscovering Sexuality After Trauma

It can be normal for trauma from an event or experience, especially after abusive relationships or sexual assault, to affect sexuality, drive or expectations, including from others, but there is a way back.

Psychological Distress Around Sexual Health and Fertility

If you are struggling emotionally with, or afraid of, a diagnosis of any sexually transmitted illness, or infertility, I'm here to help you process those feelings.

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

After many years working in the media, I decided to become a sex and relationship therapist after struggling to find a therapist for myself who was sex-positive and experienced with “non-normative” relationships, there was no space to explore the possibility that what works for one person may not work for another.

ACTIVE INCLUSIVITY

I describe myself as a ‘fairness fanatic’, and aim to provide a safe and educated space for Global Majority, LGBTQIA+, and sex worker clients, as well as everyone else.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Diploma* in Clinical Sexology from The Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology. Awarding body COSRT. *Once clinical training hours are completed.
  • Levels 2 & 3 Counselling Skills. Awarding body CPCAB.
  • Student membership COSRT - College of Sex and Relationship Therapists.
APPROACH

I am trained in - and passionate about - the pluralistic approach: psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive behavioural therapy.

What that means for my clients is we work in whichever way is best suited to their personality and presentation, be it setting exercises, working through childhood experiences or past traumas, or just listening with care and understanding in a shame and judgement-free space.

I favour the Gottman approach when working with couples, because it is rooted in years of research on the key elements that make for successful relationships.

EXPERIENCE

I have already successfully worked with a number of clients and presentations, including: low and mismatched libido, vaginismus and painful sex, problematic pornography useage, and erectile and ejaculatory issues.
